Sensuous Secrets, Intrigue and Passion

The messages of love, devotion and affection are historically bound to
flowers. The hidden meanings and messages was introduced by the Victorians when
it was difficult and inappropriate to show affections and feelings publicly.
The most ardent of lovers took great pleasure in sending flowers on Valentine’s
Day to indicate their intentions without speech!

Traditionally Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14th
throughout Europe and America,
the gesture of sending a Valentine’s note or card and presenting flowers has
become a tradition for many people. The red rose is the most popular flower to
send and although a single red rose stem continues to be a favourite, lavishing
enormous bunches of red roses is gaining in popularity.

Women are no longer the sole receivers of Valentine’s Day flowers as
more and more women are choosing to send flowers to their men to show affection
and love or to intimate their hopeful intentions! Saucy and sexy crimson red
anthuriums with their provocative cream central spike and heart-shaped leaves
are among the favourites for women to send to men which leaves little to the
imagination as to the underlying message being sent with these exotic flowers!

Red is used as a symbol of passion, desire and love, while lighter shade
symbolise sensuality and sexuality. Pink signifies passion, feminine qualities
as well as love making a pleasant contrast for sending on Valentine’s Day,
while brownish reds represent more masculine qualities suitable for women to
send to men. Although very dark red is associated with passion and longing it
also signifies wrath and anger which may provoke rather than invite a positive
or desired response!

Yellow roses are appropriate to send to express friendship rather than
love, a bouquet of beautiful yellow roses arranged with the natural dark green
foliage of the stems and leaves send a message of joy and happiness.

Whatever colour or type of flower is chosen to send on this romantic day
the thoughtfulness and meaning remains very clear to all recipients.
Contemporary art forms which use flowers are continuing to grow increasingly
popular among the most fashionable and trendiest circles. Valentine’s Day
flower designs are incorporating a wide variety of exotic and luxurious blooms
and foliages which are art forms to be admired and openly displayed by all.
Ruby red rose buds skillfully arranged into a chunky square steel container
with a few strategically placed blades of steel grass offers a bold and
exquisite design. A mixture of roses and tropical white orchids intermingled
with dark textures of foliage, displayed in a tall glass vase provides a
striking display and a real statement in a room.

More traditional designs of floral arrangements remain to be sent by
there millions throughout the world on February 14th each year.
Formal bunches of flowers such as carnations , roses or mixed bouquets which
incorporate other seasonal flowers such as tulips and daffodils offer a
stunning style and graceful elegance which will be enjoyed by Valentines of all
ages.

What could be more appropriate than to send flowers
by post
anonymously and amorously
on Valentine’ Day to show affection and love to someone special?
