How to build a Water Fountain
Your garden can become even more enjoyable with a water fountain. Building it yourself saves money and gives you added satisfaction of a do-it-yourself project completed.
Things you’ll need:
Container, Pea Gravel, Rocks, Pump w/Filter
Take a trip to Lowes or Home Depot; Â go to the Garden /Pond Department.
Find the round water container 14? tall by 27? wide. Â Also select a small pump with filter, pea gravel, and several stones.
Place the container on level ground. I placed ours next to our patio.
After cleaning the container, add the pea gravel, the pump, and then place the decorative stones.
Add water.
Adjust and move the bubbler and rocks until you get the desired sounds and look you want.
Now sit back and enjoy your new fountain.
Tips:
To clean the pea gravel open the top of the bag, punch holes with a stick or screwdriver at bottom of the bag on the lawn, then run the water into the bag the dirt will dispense out the bottom of the bag into the yard.
Depending on where you live you may have some stones in your yard.
I added two goldfish and several plants for added beauty and interest.
Safety: If you have small children have them help you with the entire project. Our two children  loved helping me build the fountain. Also , you can teach them about water safety and how to enjoy the new fountain.
